Alex Attard was born into a family who have been in photoraphy since 1913. He received his initial photographic education through his grandfather, however, due to other life commitments, he could not dedicate enough time to his passion and did not pursue a career in photography.
Fast forward to 2006, he felt the urge to pick up his camera again and embrace the digital era. It was now a completely different world alltogether. For two years he studied the art of digital photography as he strived to equal the visual qualities of film through this new medium.
His innate sense of creativity and the very personal interpretation of his subjects, have won him critical acclaim at the highest level and he was recently awarded by some of the world's recognised experts in the industry, amongst others, Sotheby’'s Institute of Art, Tate Gallery, Magnum Photos, Fratelli Alinarii, The Armory Show and Phillips de Pury & Company.
Alex works mainly on personal projects, particularly, but not exclusively, in the field of architecture.
