The Risette Restaurant project forms part of an extension to Casa Ellul, a boutique hotel in Valletta originally renovated by Chris Briffa Architects in 2014. The project brief called for the consolidation of the historic property, re-connecting the right-hand side of the facade to the original building. The ground floor layout of the property was reorganized to accommodate the updated building program, shifting the hotel’s reception to the rear of the property and converting the rooms fronting the street into Risette Restaurant - marking the Ellul brand’s expansion into the food and beverage market.” - Valentino Architects
